Our students are amazing! They are respectful, hardworking, and spirited. They come from a diverse set of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. However, despite their differences, they are all typical teens and often distracted by their own world. Our school was built in 1927 and is rich in tradition. It is well respected in the community and is a great source of pride. It is a generational school-many members of our staff are alumni, and many students will be second or third generation graduates. Our library has gone through extensive transformation in the last few years. There has been a shift in attitude towards it and it has evolved into a warm, welcoming, vibrant academic environment. As a result, it has become Grand Central Station-used constantly not only for academic purposes but also for meetings, workshops, reunions, dinners, photo shoots, and testing. It is a community facility that reaches others far beyond its stacks.
