It is my hope that all of the materials in my cart will help our Math Genius Corner grow. Flashcards, whiteboards, fraction manipulatives, headphones, will all be used for our multiplication fluency standard 3.OA.7, for our fraction standards 3.NF.2/3, and our area standard 3.MD.1. I want to be able to incorporate both hands-on learning and visuals for my students in hope that using different modes of teaching will allow them to soak in the materials better. Math is my students favorite subject and by funding this project you will be bringing joy and excitement to to their hearts and hopefully furthering their interest in the matter. Whiteboards are something I use daily in both our whole group lessons and math small groups. I do not have enough for my entire class, so unfortunately some have to use a plastic sleeves to participate in the discussions. Flashcards will be part of our genius corner, in hope to get students motivated to learn. Headphones, the apple TV, and the monitor will be the visual and technological part of our genius corner. This is where students will be able to play online math games, use online flashcards, watch khan academy videos, etc. And the laminated covers will be so I can create task cards for our rotations. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
