I teach at a title 1, high poverty elementary school in a largely ELL populated area. Often times, our families are not able to support the students in ways that are necessary. Many times both parents are working and unable to assist with learning at home. Although they face many challenges both in and out of school, my students are hard workers. They never give up. They love learning and are eager for a challenge.
