Our school is in a new building, but due to some oversight, some lab supplies were demolished with the old building; some are simply obsolete. We have basic microscopes, but slides used for demonstration are in bad condition. The one camera I've found here is not compatible with new teaching tools like whiteboards running Chrome or iOS. A shareable, platform-independent digital camera will allow live sharing of a microscope in the lab or the classroom; will allow us to share access to sample slides when students can't be at their own microscopes; and will also allow for real-time digital image captures for sharing with remote students if the need arises. A small set of basic slides for introductory Biology classes will make it much easier to illustrate basic lessons.
