The SI allows them to experiment, refine techniques, and make thoughtful decisions across a series of related works that document their artistic process and growth. \r\nThe art materials you provided allow my students to create their best work; the superior pigments produce more vibrant and accurate colors that truly elevate their projects. The pencils have been invaluable in the classroom—students love how the soft, smooth leads make blending and shading effortless, allowing for smooth gradients and subtle transitions. Their rich, high-quality pigments deliver bright, saturated hues that bring artwork to life, and the pencils' blendable nature supports layering to build depth and new shades. They're also perfect for mixed media projects, pairing well with other mediums such as watercolor and expanding creative possibilities for every student.\r\nYour generous support helps my students engage deeply with their inquiry questions, practice and revise with confidence, and create works of art that truly reflect their creativity and development. The students and myself truly appreciate your kindness and generosity. I hope you see that in the beautiful works they created with your support.","fullyFundedDate":1759168496277,"projectUrl":"project/art-classroom/9664363/","projectTitle":"Art Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Betson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10232281"},{"teacherId":6380407,"projectId":9216717,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your financial donation to our classroom. Students have been working on organic modeling concepts in our 3D Modeling 2 class and have been able to print some of their work. Students in our Game Art and Design class are currently working through the design process of creating a playable board game. These same students will be creating 3D models in Maya and printing them as characters, tokens, and environments for their board games.\r\n\r\nThis gift will be used for many years by hundreds of students at our school. Studying this text has had an incredible impact on my classes, and they are so appreciative of this gift!\r\n\r\nIf you have read this text, you may remember how desperately our main character desires understanding of the world, and, more importantly, connection with other people. If you have never read it, my students would strongly encourage you to grab a copy & do that now! Students had small group meetings twice a week to discuss Montag's journey of self-discovery, of the power of books, and of the hope that, in working with others, he can have a positive impact on the world. During these discussions, students built connections with each other and developed their communication skills to help them be more confident in discussing challenging topics and considering differing opinions - a journey not all that different from Montag's own.\r\n\r\nAs a culmination of their study, students worked in small groups to create a visual essay where they explained a theme that Bradbury conveys in this book that can apply to our own lives. They discussed thematic topics such as the impact of too much reliance on technology, the importance of education, the impact of censorship, and more. As they presented their visual essays to the class, students we able to delve even further into discussions of these topics and connections to our own lives.\r\n\r\nAgain, my students and I thank you for this wonderful gift! The fact that we all had the same edition of the book (with the same page numbers and no pages were falling out or taped in) truly helped facilitate our discussions. And, of course, who doesn't love reading a crisp, new book? Thank you for making that happen for my kids!","fullyFundedDate":1734615437012,"projectUrl":"project/lessons-learned-from-classics-fahrenhe/9011720/","projectTitle":"Lessons Learned from Classics - Fahrenheit 451 Class Set","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Miller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5677213_orig.jpg?crop=1680,1680,x0,y268&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1734542204818","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5677213"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_1535","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2136,"numTeachers":126,"percentFrplEligible":85,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":16,"percentWhite":51,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"17.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":72.8,"schoolId":1535,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about West Forsyth High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"West Forsyth High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/winston-salem-forsyth-county-schools/west-forsyth-high-school/1535"}
