The items that I have selected will help meet NV ELASCS 7.0/8.0. My students will be able to increase their speech and language skills so that they can participate fully in classroom learning, express their wants and needs as well as expand their speech and language skills. A color printer is perhaps the most needed item on my list. Not only will it allow me to print off activities in color, making them tasks more engaging, but it will also provide me with the opportunity to create communication boards and stimuli for my ACC using students that are both functional and engaging. A laminator will help me preserve these materials so that I can use them multiple times with many different students. Also, laminated sheets can be easily disinfected which allows me to adhere to our Covid-19 safety protocols most effectively. The other items are fun interactive games that allow me to organically work on language and social skills with my students. These games can also make mundane articulation drills a bit more engaging. Please help me get my students communicating, participating, and enjoying their time in the speech room!
