This technology has brought phonics to life in a way that is interactive, engaging, and meaningful for our young learners.\r\n\r\nThe iPad allows students to tap, hear, and practice letter sounds and word building at their own pace. This immediate feedback helps strengthen their understanding of phonics skills, especially blending sounds and recognizing sight words. It has been especially helpful for students who need extra support, as they can practice independently while still receiving guidance through the program.\r\n\r\nWhat excites the students the most is the hands-on, game-like experience. They love being able to interact with the screen, hear the sounds, and see their progress in real time. Learning feels like play, which keeps them motivated and eager to participate.\r\n\r\nI've seen some of my quieter and more hesitant learners truly shine with this technology. Students who were once unsure about reading are now more confident and willing to try. They are excited to use the iPad and often ask for more time to practice. It has helped build not only their skills but also their confidence as learners.\r\n\r\nThank you for your generosity and for making this meaningful learning experience possible. Because of your generosity, my students have had access to markers, pens, googly eyes, chalk markers, magnetic kits, copper tape, double-sided tape, and many other creative supplies that have truly transformed our classroom experience. These materials have allowed us to bring learning to life in ways that are both engaging and meaningful. From exploring symmetry by completing half-portraits to designing pirate-themed geometry treasure maps filled with polygons, students were able to connect math concepts with creativity. The magnetic fraction tiles were especially impactful, helping students visualize and build equivalent fractions with confidence, while our hands-on science activities with magnets deepened their understanding of force, attraction, and repulsion.\r\n\r\nMy students have been incredibly excited and grateful for these opportunities, and their voices truly reflect the impact of your support. One student shared, \"I like math more now because we get to draw and create while learning.\" Another said, \"The treasure map project made me feel like a real explorer using shapes!\" During our Women's Day project, students proudly researched and created posters of inspiring women, with one student commenting, \"I didn't know so many amazing women changed the world—I want to be like them.\" These moments show how your contributions have not only supported academic growth but also inspired confidence, curiosity, and joy in learning.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are excited to continue expanding our project-based learning approach with several engaging projects in the pipeline. We plan to explore the forces of flight by designing and testing our own paper airplanes, as well as work on a community mapping project that integrates social studies and research skills. In math, students will create both a 3D city and a geometric city to strengthen their understanding of volume and spatial concepts. Additionally, we are especially excited to incorporate a new STEM project where students will create paper circuits using copper tape and LED lights. This hands-on activity will introduce basic electrical concepts while allowing students to combine creativity with engineering design. Your support has made it possible for us to dream bigger and plan richer learning experiences, and we are truly grateful for the lasting impact you have made in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1768341439984,"projectUrl":"project/support-our-learning-and-creativity/10011243/","projectTitle":"Support Our Learning and Creativity!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gupta","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8958370_orig.jpg?crop=608,608,x14,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1698794662965","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8958370"},{"teacherId":8136586,"projectId":10006648,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations. Many of them already had a foundation from Code.org, and it has been really rewarding to see them apply those skills in a new way by coding outside of that platform. Watching their code come to life as the robot draws and moves has been a highlight for many students.\r\n\r\nThe classroom headphones have also been cherished by students and help them stay focused during digital activities. I used it daily to navigate digital lessons while moving around the room, keeping students focused and engaged.
