I want to create an environment in my classroom that fosters a love for reading and writing. I hope to build excitement in my students when the get to practice writing on their new LCD writing boards. This year has really been a struggle with getting them excited about writing or practicing spelling words. These boards will make it so much more exciting and engaging. Not to mention easier clean up. No more need for dry erase boards, markers and eraser to keep up with. I want to reach the variety of readers I have in my classroom. I have some students that can read books like Harry Potter and others that are working on sounding and blending words. With these books and sight word cards I will be able to have some students reading chapter books and others working on cvc words or sight words. Please help me bring a love to reading and writing in my classroom because COVID has brought such a huge difference in my students abilities. Some of the standards that this address is in the Nevada standards are the following: ELA 2.1-3 Language 2.1-2 Writing 2.1-3
