After a year of distance learning my students are so excited to once again create the hands-on 3 dimensional artwork that they signed up to do. I have had a terrific response to creating dream catchers, with students very eager and asking me when we will be able to start. The wooden hoops will provide the stabilizing form for the dream catcher project, as we have had rawhide, beads and feathers donated from another source. My students have also requested we experiment with printmaking this year. Bench hooks are a vital safety tool in printmaking, as they keep the printing plate stable while students are creating the initial carving. The pink rubber carving blocks will provide the base for students to carve into, and experience how professional artists print. Unfortunately, I do not have a budget for much of these items. In our heavily digitally skewed world, the students benefit tremendously from this style of learning and it brings out their creativity and fresh ideas. My students and I thank you for your consideration!
