We're investigating what it means to be an "American" in today's ever-changing society. The American Dream has evolved; with so many factors to consider, it's important that we not only look forward, but also look back. What ideals and values are constant? Which should we make sure to carry forward? Which may have become obsolete? Is there still shared perspective that is embraced by all Americans? One on which can promote unity rather than division? The next generation of Americans exists in our classroom. We're working to ensure we're as prepared as possible to handle that responsibility. We need the book America and Americans and Selected Nonfiction.
