My students come from traumatic trauma based lives who need tools to help them regulate and self manage their emotions. The goal for all my students is to be highly effective learners and to focus on academic and social learning. To meet this goal they need to develop and regulate their self management to focus on the academic tasks at hand. To help the students meet this goal the flexible seating will help with self management of their physical self to meet the WCSD SEL standards below. Develop self-management competencies to: x Regulate emotions x Manage stress x Monitor and achieve behaviors related to school and life success INDICATORS 2A.Demonstrate ability to manage emotions. 2B.Demonstrate an understanding of honesty and integrity. 2C. Demonstrate ability to set and achieve goals for success
