This project will provide flexible seating options for our students. Flexible seating has been shown to increase student engagement, foster a sense of student ownership of the learning environment, and increase comfort in the classroom, all of which lead to a more effective space for student success and achievement. I have many students with ADD/ADHD as well as many who have discovered that they prefer and are more effective when they have alternative seating options due to COVID distance learning. The bean bag chairs and bungee chairs will enable my students to be able to choose a seating arrangement that fits their needs and gives them the best opportunity to succeed, with the freedom to bounce and wiggle that isn't afforded with traditional desks. The lap desks, will be used in conjunction with the aforementioned seating options giving students a work platform when appropriate. These resources will help students in every period every day, removing With your help, we can create a classroom that gives our students a more comfortable and effective learning environment, allowing them to choose a seating arrangement that let's them be their best self; Eliminating some environmental barriers that traditional seating may cause.
