These notebooks will provide a safe space for my future leaders where they can journal their thoughts and feelings. It will also serve as a place to process topics and discussions had in class. These discussions are student-led, and have already been so enlightening and beautiful. These students have things to say, and they need a place to record it! We've already spoken of the discovery of ancient handprints made by 2 children 200,000 years ago, and they've wondered, "could that be my ancestor?" In another class we broke down the stereotypes of immigrants, where their personal stories and connections were so profound!
