Students will work together to read and study these award-winning book and participate in a city-wide competition. This will help to motivate and inspire young readers in Chicago, and give students an opportunity to work together as a team. These books will be read by many students, not only this year in the battle of the books, but for many years to come. The book selections are diverse and will open the minds of young readers.
