Personal care products, hygiene items and healthy snacks are essential basic needs. My students don't always have the money at home to purchase these items. My goal is to create a "take what you need" corner for students to have access to these items for free. Until basic needs are met, focusing on learning can be difficult for my students. With your help, you can ensure that all students are receiving what they need. Due to our rural and remote location, the closest grocery store is a two hour drive round-trip and personal care products can be double the price compared to costs on the mainland and in the lower 48.
