The use of alternative seating and supports for my special education students will provide their brain and body with the sensory stimulation they crave and need in order to fully engage in the teaching and learning process. Although my students have unique needs, they are always eager to learn and progress. They are hungry for opportunities to see, explore and engage in various classroom tasks. When someone from DonorsChoose fulfills this order, it will not only provide inner-city students in an urban setting with tools to engage, foster, and grow. But it will boost their confidence in wanting to engage in curricular and extra-curricular activities.
