Now that we are doing in person learning, I want my students to be able to experience and play real instruments. During remote instruction they were not able to gain the usual active learning experience in music class. This year I am on a rolling cart, so I need portable instruments to bring to my classes. There are limited amount of school instruments due to water and mold damage. Playing the xylophone will help my students foster an appreciation for music. I will be doing a melody unit and want to use the xylophones to teach scales, improvisation, performing, and taking care of instruments. My students would be overjoyed to be able to play the xylophone.
