Many of my students love to read, but don't have the opportunity to access books that spark their interests. Others think they don't like to read, but would be more likely to pick up a book if they saw people like themselves in the pages. Nevada Academic Content Standard RL 8.10 asks that students read and comprehend literature at the high end of their grade complexity by the end of the year. The students in my class need access to these books so they can improve their reading skills. The pandemic has been hard on my students because they have not had access to reading materials at their grade level while being stuck at home. The students in my classes will be able to borrow these books and take them home to read in their spare time.
