My students have a variety of sensory needs and sometimes just need a space to take a break, self-regulate, and refocus. My goal is to create a sensory wall to give them a safe and therapeutic space that helps them calm and focus themselves and prevent behaviors from occurring within the classroom. Our sensory wall will allow students to use movement and touch to release energy, help them self-regulate, and get ready to learn. By funding my project, you will create this space for my students that will meet their sensory needs, reduce stress, reduce behaviors, increase focus, and motivate learning.
