My students have anxiety and depression from the pandemic. Chewing gum/Using a stress ball helps with distractions and allows you to stay focus, while having movement in your mouth/hand. Some students can’t sit in a desk for a long period of time and these items will assist them in the long run. These tools can be used when supporting students for state standardized testing. Students can stay more focus on tasks and assignments when chewing gum or having stress balls. These items/tools make a high difference in the lives of the students I serve in my community!
