At our school we have never offered a Lacrosse unit. We simply do not have the equipment or the budget to get started. In order for us to begin, we need the basic equipment which includes lacrosse sticks, soft lacrosse balls, and folding metal lacrosse goals that we are asking for. The students enjoy being introduced to new activities in physical education. Team sports provide many lessons beyond just the physical. Socialization is also key. Learning a new game and new skills together helps build relationships. Funding this project, would also provide another after school club opportunity. Intramural Lacrosse would offer an opportunity for students to stay safe, active, and develop new relationships. The impact can only be positive!
