As a teacher you provide a positive learning environment for students to express their creativity and knowledge through different learning styles and modalities. Learning using hands on materials is a great way for students to connect with the curriculum and to Sharpen The Saw when it is appropriate. All students need a time to express their creativity in a constructive manner. Our STEM area allows students to redirect their energy and expanded on their learning with their peers. Currently students use wood blocks and a marble run to build on their collaboration and problem-solving skills. With LEGOS, my students would be able to expand on these important social skills and continue in a fun and safe learning environment.
