Grade school student's with learning disabilities like Dyslexia, Autism, and/or ADHD have had an especially difficult time getting the one-on-one, specialized instruction that they need throughout the Pandemic. The result is that these students have fallen farther behind in most subjects, especially reading. Since struggling readers see how well their peers read, they know that they are far behind. They experience increased stress and anxiety, and less motivation. It is my privilege to help these students learn to read! I make every effort to provide an engaging, comfortable reading experience. This project will help me with these efforts. It will equip my classroom with wobble seats that will support my students' natural need for movement and comfort, and help calm their nerves and anxiety (They will be so excited to use them!). It will also provide my struggling readers with decodable chapter books so that they can read chapter books along with their peers, which will increase reading motivation and engagement.
