My school is a Title One school, so for many of my students, this is their first time having a pet to care for. Caring for a classroom pet has not only taught them about responsibility, but it is also the perfect example to use some of my science units. The interest they have in science has completely skyrocketed since they were introduced to our ball python. I was able to purchase a small terrarium and pet, however, it is not as interactive as I, or my students, would like. That's why I am asking for a vertical cage with accessories for our pet to climb. Also we are very excited to see our snake shed for the first time, so we are updating its terrarium bedding to help keep the humidity in the cage high. Since the cage has to be changed weekly, we are asking for 3 coconut fiber substrate bags.
