My students live miles from stores or even a public library. I want my students to have quality books available to them every day! I am building a classroom library so every student can participate in sustained silent reading and escape to faraway lands with a good book! Most of my students are English Learners and need high-interest lower reading level books. Graphic novels and tales of adventure help encourage them to learn the language and keep reading! By the end of the year, I hope to purchase at least one hundred books AND motivate my students to keep cracking them open!
