The students involved in the garden come from low-income families and will benefit from the knowledge that they will gain from creating a school garden that includes a butterfly habitat to help protect the declining numbers of monarch butterflies. The student will develop a love for gardening and a respect for nature. The materials that were ordered will provide the tools necessary to establish the foundation of the garden. The tools will help for digging the post and the wagon will help to carry and store supplies. The skills that the students will learn can be beneficial for life.
