I want to ignite a reading fire in my high school students! On First Chapter Friday, I read a high-interest book, out loud to my students. On Pleasure Reading Tuesday, my secondary students read a book of their choice for 20 minutes. An option for every student is to read the PDF copy of First Friday's literary snack. My students crave fiction and non-fiction that sparks their interest and feels relatable. I love Jane Eyre, however, I am a 51 year old, mother and educator. My kids want fun and vampires and suspense!
