My students come from low-income homes in an urban area of NC. The majority have never been out of our small city. For many, the only food they will eat today is what they are given for breakfast and lunch here at school. They go home to a world of hunger, violence, and fear. For these students, our school is their safe haven. Within these walls, all things are possible and every student can succeed. I strive to expand their horizons and open them up to the wider world, showing them that there is more out there. Our students need to dream big, and one day they will achieve their loftiest goals. Our future leaders are here today, we just need the tools to help open their eyes. Their newest journey can begin today. The first step comes from your generous support in providing the projector we need for our interactive Promethean board. This will bring the Internet to our students in the media center, bringing books, lessons, and learning to life.

About my class
