Our classroom has opened up two new centers for our students to explore. These centers are called Dramatic Play and Literacy Arts. These centers are lacking some materials to help foster the students' exploration. There is a pretend kitchen set-up in our Dramatic play corner but needs food items and a cash register so students can use their imagination to fit the needs of this area. Students will engage with their peers to buy foods needed for tonight's dinner or to make a nice breakfast meal for their friends. The Literacy Arts center will provide an opportunity for students to create and write letters to families or friends. This will allow students to practice and develop their writing. Play-Doh will also be used in this area for students to strengthen their hand muscles to develop their fine motor skills.
