Students are happiest when we have rhythm and percussion filled lessons. Vibraphones/Marimbas would dramatically increase our capabilities. Students would play them in groups. They are also very visual instruments making it easy to hear and see what is played. These students are used to using visual since we are a Sports oriented education. The school is centered around Sports and Leadership and I started the Music Program this year. I believe a Percussion Club would excite the students and could also be used at pep rallies and school sporting events. Students who play in these groups connect, respect, and work together. I hope to be able to provide them these skills. I simply need these resources to help expand that.
