These resources will be used in my classroom throughout the entirety of the day. Regardless of whole group work, small group work, and independent work, students will only learn if they feel safe, comfortable, and that their needs and preferences matter. It is my goal this year to provide that necessary classroom environment for my students during their ELA and social studies blocks. The Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seats will allow students to dive into their independent reading and writing skills by providing them with safe and comfortable spaces. This is crucial in meeting those personal needs before being able to focus on academics. The Flex-Space Wobble Cushion will be utilized in many different ways in my classroom. First off, it provides the required mobility needed for some students to focus throughout the school day. Second, it allows for students to create safe "bubble" spaces where they feel comfortable to work. These resources will benefit 40+ children, as my school compartmentalizes in each grade level. I will be teaching the reading and writing skills that students need to be successful in their lives, and this will be made much more effective with this flexible seating in my room. Thank you for considering helping me and my wonderful 1st graders create a safe and personal classroom!
