Because reading is a complicated process, the resource listed breaks down emergent literacy into a variety of important components. Some of these components include phonemic awareness, fluency, comprehension, decoding, vocabulary, and print concepts. Early reading intervention helps children acquire the skills that enable future learning and knowledge. By donating to our project, you will help improve in-school instruction, provide parents with resources to help their child at home, and get more books in the hands of children who may not have books to read at home!
