The art room is a place to move your mind and body as you create! In my art room I challenge students to find their own creative voice in a choice based curriculum. Students are invited to pursue their own ideas and develop the skills needed to express them while engaging in what it means to be an artist and how artists work through creative processes. My school is located in an old, renovated warehouse in downtown Duluth with huge windows, lots of light, and access to parks, museums, and other city resources. As students walk in the door they see a sign reminding them that we are a community of artists, creating, taking risks, and supporting each other as we work.
