My students are so excited to learn as many styles of art as they can! Every week they come in ready to try new and exciting techniques and experience methods in art they never knew possible. Just like their regular classroom, there are standards and goals to create a positive learning environment. But, in an art room, they need different tools and aids that are different from a traditional learning space to give them the proper foundation to create their art. Traditional classroom chairs often create restrictions and limit movement for students to experience the large varieties of art, such as painting, clay, printmaking collage, and sculpture. Some students work best when standing, some like to sit, some like to move. By bringing a smaller version of traditional art studio stools to my young artists, they are given more opportunities to use the space around them as they enter their own amazing creative world utilizing what space they have to best suit their needs.
