Some students need movement, some work best standing, and others need a quieter, more traditional space. Having these options has been especially beneficial for students who struggle with attention, staying on task, or sitting for long periods of time. Rather than movement becoming a distraction, flexible seating allows us to make movement a productive part of our classroom.\r\n\r\nFlexible seating has also helped my students develop independence and responsibility. They are learning to recognize what they need in order to do their best work and to make appropriate choices for themselves. It has helped create a classroom that feels welcoming, comfortable, and centered around the needs of the children who learn here each day.\r\n\r\nI am incredibly grateful to the donors who have helped make these opportunities possible for my students.
