My students were super excited when I told them we would be doing some online projects rather than paper pencil worksheets. They were very eager to try them out without any instruction. \r\n\tSome of the projects that they will be completing require them to use reasoning and deductive skills. They do not have a lot of experience doing these types of projects and I am excited to see them work. Other projects will allow them to incorporate STEAM (Science, Engineering, Art, Technology and Mathematics) into their lessons. STEM projects are hands-on and kids tend to really enjoy doing them. My players have enjoyed having snacks for practices. We look forward to having snacks when we go to our matches. We also plan to offer the snacks to other teams when we host matches at our school. \r\nThere favorite snacks so far have been oreos, cheeze-its, and popcorn. Jr. High students are always hungry and need snacks. Also, without these snacks they would have to go from lunch time at school until at least 8pm. STEAM utililzes so many skills that people just don't naturally think about, critical thinking, teamwork and problem solving just to name a few.\r\n\r\nMy 6th grade students were very excited to see the wide array of colors of tape when they started their Cardboard Arcade projects. The tape allowed them to put a personal touch on their finished project. The 5th graders were also exocted for the different colors of tape when they created a mini golf course hole.
