This year students have not been together as a class in over a year and a half. They do not know each other and have not bonded as a class. This LEGO robotics kit will give them a hands-on opportunity that they haven't had and help them form bonds of friendships as they work and struggle together as a team. Being online for 18 months, they have not been able to do what middle schoolers do: work, laugh, play and learn together. They need this to save any resemblance of a middle school experience. When you think back to your middle school experiences, you may remember a teacher or two. You will barely remember the lesson taught but you will remember the bonds you made and the friends that you shared your life with. This is what you have the opportunity to give to these students.
