Research shows that a majority of inner city students come from low income homes. As educators, we must do what we can with what we have to provide essentials for our students. I want to be the teacher, my students aren't afraid to come ask for things when they are in need. Most importantly, I want to be the teacher that inspires students to want to continue learning after they leave my class. If they have the proper supplies, it would help make this journey easier for them as well as for myself.
