As I walked outside, I realized I hadn't seen anything yet. It's only July and it will be getting hotter and hotter until the first week of October! How will my kids feel journeying to my classroom at the top of my school? To make matters worse, our custodial staff have turned off our water fountains due to an abundance of Covid precautions. My kids need a chance to learn without worrying about our oppressive Hawaiian heat. They'll be able to stay cool with an ice machine, and what's more, do science experiments relating to thermal contraction and heat of fusion during the winter months.
