My students use dry erase student lap boards throughout each school day. We practice letter formation, spelling words, sentences, and keep track of our thinking. We also use them for equations and problem solving during math instruction. Our current set of dry erase boards is several years old with sharp edges and chunks missing from the writing surfaces. The dry erase boards I would like have a plain side and a ruled side, which would assist with proper letter and number formation. Individual dry erase boards and plastic privacy folders would help students to be more successful and safe each and every day. Privacy folders are necessary to provide a quiet environment for student assessments and for students who prefer limited distractions to increase concentration and productivity. The plastic folders I am requesting are Covid-19 friendly because they can be sanitized according to our rigorous cleaning protocol. Maintaining academic engagement and student safety is a priority in our classroom and in our school. Thank you for your consideration to fund this project.
