I was so thankful to have received your donation and the products in my project before my groups started so I could be organized and ready for my students when my language groups began. I am so excited to see my students because I am organized and ready to support my 53 students in a smooth and efficient way. \r\n\r\nThis is my first year as an English Language Learning teacher, and I am striving to bring my students the best possible education that supports their development of the English language. I did not feel prepared to do that as I moved from having a full classroom to myself, to sharing a classroom with two other amazing intervention teachers. With that move, I had to condense greatly and become even more organized. The organization was a struggle until you funded my project! Now I feel prepared to serve my students because all of my lesson materials are organized and easily accessible right behind my small group area. This will maximize the learning time I have with each of my groups, because I will not have to dig through materials to find them, as they are right there within sight and reach. \r\n\r\nThis project was titled \"Markers for Learning\", however, the markers were not available for delivery, so I selected Play-Doh to replace the markers. My students will be so excited to use Play-Doh during small groups to support their acquisition of the English language, as they do not have access to Play-Doh in the general education classroom. They will use this to support their fine motor skills development. Play-Doh use will also support acquisition and retention of letter names, letter sounds, reading cvc words and sight words because they will be using Play-Doh to what we learn as we learn it.\r\n\r\nI can't thank you enough for your generosity that has helped me to better prepare to meet the needs of my students in their process of acquiring English!","fullyFundedDate":1752758456517,"projectUrl":"project/markers-for-learning/9380758/","projectTitle":"Markers for Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Harris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6522300_orig.jpg?crop=635,636,x0,y21&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1572007498864","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-harris-tk"},{"teacherId":10062466,"projectId":9429638,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your generous contributions to our classroom. Because of your support, we were able to bring in a beautiful new rug, engaging learning materials, and essential supplies that have completely transformed our space. What was once just a classroom now feels like a welcoming, vibrant environment where students are eager to learn and explore every single day.\r\n\r\nThe rug has quickly become the heart of our classroom. It's more than just a spot to sit—it has become our gathering place for morning meetings, read-alouds, and collaborative discussions. My students love having a cozy and colorful place to come together, and it has helped create a sense of community where everyone feels like they belong. The learning materials and supplies you helped provide have also made lessons come alive, giving my students hands-on opportunities to build, create, and explore concepts in ways that spark both curiosity and excitement.\r\n\r\nEvery day, I see the joy and enthusiasm your gifts have brought to my students. Whether they are sharing ideas on the rug, using new supplies to solve problems, or diving into engaging activities with their classmates, I can see their confidence growing. Thank you for not only providing the tools we needed but also for investing in my students' love of learning. Your kindness has left a lasting impact on our classroom, and I am so grateful for the difference you have made in their educational journey.","fullyFundedDate":1752586502174,"projectUrl":"project/support-needed/9429638/","projectTitle":"Support Needed","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Redfield","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10062466_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750735249779","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10062466"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_36868","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":305,"numTeachers":25,"percentFrplEligible":75,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":34,"percentIndigenous":3,"percentLatinx":57,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 2","studentTeacherRatio":"12.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.4,"schoolId":36868,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Hilton Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Hilton Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/zillah-school-district-205/hilton-elementary-school/36868"}
