My name is Charlsey Nail and I am a second grade teacher in Ada, Oklahoma. I have been a teacher for five years. I have a class of 25 wonderful kiddos this year. My students are in the age range of 7 and 8 years old. They love to wiggle, wobble, and move while they learn. I used to see this as a negative, but I quickly learned that this is just how children are designed! Why not embrace and encourage how they are made, to enrich their learning? They NEED room to wiggle and a way to move while they are learn. My class is in need of flexible seating options to help my wiggly kiddos. Flexible seating is nontraditional seating that allows children to move and feel more comfortable while they learn. Flexible seating also helps children with learning disabilities to focus better. Overall, flexible seating offers something beneficial for any child. My class would be so THRILLED and so very GRATEFUL to receive flexible seating options in our classroom. These flexible seating options will be very well-used! They will allow each child to choose their own unique and specified way to learn, while making them feel excited about how they will get to learn each day.
