They come together for class meetings where they develop their social-emotional intelligence, read-alouds that take them to countless places, and math lessons and games just to provide a few examples. A classroom carpet is the true magic carpet. Students love getting out of their chairs and race to their favorite spot. The classroom carpet allows the teacher and students to see one another, see puzzled expressions, see "aha moments," and see student confidence develop up close. The classroom carpet is essential, and it's so much more than just a rug.
