These tools will bring the math alive for my students. It will help them visualize their thinking and connect with the math with concrete examples that also will make the math accessible to all students regardless of their ability. The students will be able to take the math with them outside of the classroom to give them the chance for more independent practice. The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom math along with the manipulatives that go along with the day's lesson. I make heavy use of manipulatives in the classroom to help students gain a deeper understanding through having hands-on experience.
