I am requesting adjustable wobble seats, a dining chair, desktop drawer, and stackable stools. With the implementation of flexible seating, students will be able to move about the classroom during individual and group work time. They will be able to work in spaces that are different than the typical student-to-desk set up. With students coming back from a virtual environment, it is important that we make the classroom space welcoming and inviting as students are making their way back into the classroom. A spacious classroom environment allows students the opportunity to discover through movement and allows social-emotional growth as the students engage with their peers and their environment. Flexible seating is wonderful in the classroom environment because: -offering students choice gives them power, autonomy, and responsibility over their own education -Students physically need to move in order to stay alert and healthy -Flexible seating offers a space for children to feel comforted and calmed -Students learn to take turns sharing the limited flexible seating which teaches respect, responsibility, and care for classmates as well as building classroom community -Flexible seating stimulates students' sense of touch allowing for fidgeting and increased attention-span due to better focus
