I teach a class called AVID that helps prepare my students for college as well as teach them different life skills that will help better their abilities to effectively progress in society. Because of this, I have included inspirational wall decor and decorations that will keep my classroom/office inviting and allow my students to feel inspired to be better. I also included some cleaning and health items such as Lysol, an air purifier, and masks so that COVID-19 can be kept to a minimum in the classroom. Miscellaneous items were also included such as pens, folders, markers, etc. for students who might not be able to get those supplies at home. I am really diligent about caring about my students needs when it comes to EVERYTHING, not just the simple things. If you notice, I included a lot of snacks and a mini fridge into the items list. This is because some of my students come from very low income families and don't always get food to eat. I want to be able to provide some of these things so that they don't go hungry and feel comfortable enough to come to me with their problems and needs. These are just a few things that will really be of good use to myself and my students and I hope that you as the donors feel that you are contributing to the betterment of my students!
