Social emotional learning has become so important in the classroom, and specifically to my teaching philosophy. Students will use these materials daily to learn how to identify and manage emotions, be a kind classmate, sibling, and friend, and discover what "justice" means to them. The growth mindset journal will be used daily at the beginning of the school day to set intentions and help students prepare themselves mentally for the day ahead. The diversity and inclusion journal will be used through our reading and writing workshops to assist our classroom activities. This workbook will help my students become responsible and knowledgable world-citizens.
