The bench will provide comfort and organization in the calm down corner of the classroom. The calm down corner is a designated area for the students to retrieve to when feeling overwhelmed, angry, or just need a break from the stresses of attending school full time. The storage area of the bench will house sensory tools that students will use to help develop their self-regulation skills while in this corner. The bench will ensure that the area is safe for students to use independently. Would you like to curl up on the couch with a good book and a cup of coffee or tea on a rainy day? The couch will provide comfortable and cozy seating in the library center. Students will be able to sit comfortably as they enjoy reading books or listening to audiobooks.
