Our robotics team engages students in a real-world engineering project which challenges members to build a fully functional industrial-scale robot in approximately six weeks. This upcoming year, the team is expecting to compete in the FRC 2022 game, RAPID REACT, sponsored by BOEING. Our team would benefit from a successful “Expanding Equitable STEM Opportunity: Robot Motor Systems Improvement” by integrating seven brushless Falcon 500 motors into the robot, which can be used to enhance robot functionality, quality, sustainability, and performance with integrated encoders, integrated motor controllers, and more. These are affordable and well-tested motors that can provide our team with the necessary financial flexibility under a very rigid and limited budget.
