Several items I am requesting will make it helpful for the students during whole group reading instruction, such as letter tiles to build words, whiteboards to show answers quickly from their desk, clipboards so that I can have them sit in the meeting area while working on lessons together. As for other items, like the tabletop easel, I will use that in small groups to instruct my students in literacy. The floor pillows give the students an inviting place to read independently, and the headphones will make their computer lesson time be less distracting. These are all materials that are going to be helpful in a second-grade classroom.
