The books that I am requesting are books that will grow and diversify my classroom library. A read aloud is a daily component in our school day. I will use these books to teach my students about how big and diverse our world is. As a dual language teacher, I aspire to give my students more than just language. I want them to grow up to be caring and respectful citizens who do not shy away from other's differences, but embrace those differences and love others for who they are.
